For many companies, SAP systems are still an essential part of their IT infrastructure, but more and more companies are also running ERP systems from other vendors, often as a result of mergers or acquisitions. In addition, business-critical applications are moving to the cloud with solutions such as SuccessFactors and Ariba, providing an essential extension beyond the traditional ABAP and SAP world.

As these challenges continue to grow, there is a need for adequate and effective new solutions for risk management, access control, and segregation of duties, as well as appropriate access governance and reliable management of potential vulnerabilities in the business-critical systems themselves.
