From 8 to 10 October, C-suite decision-makers and experts will once again get the latest information on IT security trends at it-sa in Nuremberg. The supporting programme of the trade fair, which boasts the largest number of exhibitors worldwide, offers plenty of sources of information. On five stages, experts will talk to exhibiting companies, associations and institutions about current threat scenarios and show how companies can protect themselves. The accompanying conference programme Congress@it-sa provides attendees with more detailed knowledge.
It-sa insights consolidate highlights in the forum programme
Exceptionally noteworthy items from the programme in the five open forums are designated “it-sa insights”. This is where experts share their knowledge in discussion panels and product-neutral presentations. Specifically for SMEs, the BVMW (Federal Association of SMEs, German Business Owners Association) is putting the issue of IT security on the agenda. The discussion panel on the first day of the fair is devoted to issues like the human risk factor and typical attack scenarios such as social engineering. The TED-style talk “Come, let’s play” by Deutsche Post DHL Group will describe concrete experience of gamification for raising awareness in the workforce. Other presentations cover such topics as civil liability in the event of cyber security incidents, data protection issues when using artificial intelligence, IoT applications and Big Data, or automation and visualisation for digital forensics and monitoring.
Congress@it-sa explores the AI myth
Congress@it-sa starts the day before it-sa and complements the exhibition for example with presentations on the topics of cyber resilience, data protection or SAP security. The firm cirosec will provide information on the “AI myth” on Monday 7 October. The question of whether the use of artificial intelligence will revolutionise IT security is ultimately one of the most discussed issues in the IT security community and solution providers and users are looking for ways to use it. The annual convention of IT security managers from regional and local municipalities, which is organised by the German Academy of Public Administration in partnership with the IT Planning Council, will once again be part of the congress programme at it-sa 2019, as will the IT Baseline Protection Meeting of the BSI (German Federal Agency for IT Security).
