Dear participants of it-sa 2021

Digitization has long since taken hold of all areas of life. The past year and a half have shown us the important opportunities it offers, especially in times of crisis. It is partly thanks to innovative solutions in the IT sector that business and administration, education and the social environment have quickly found a new way of life despite pandemic-related restrictions. At the same time, however, the requirements for the security of digital structures have continued to grow. The well-known trade fair it-sa has been dedicated to this complex and rapidly evolving field for more than 10 years and is now Europe's largest trade fair for IT security. It presents the latest findings, solutions and products and, since the cancellation of the trade fair in 2020 due to the pandemic, also offers a year-round virtual dialog platform with it-sa 365. I am pleased that it-sa can now take place again at NürnbergMesse this year and wish all exhibitors a successful exhibition and all visitors interesting encounters and new insights into the field of IT security.

Albert Füracker, MdL, Minister of State of Finance and Home Affairs
