Secardeo - PKI automation: Distributing and managing certificates from any CA for all your devices
Digital certificates issued by a Certification Authority (CA) are used for strong authentication, encryption and digital signature. Typical applications are SSL/TLS, VPN, S/MIME and IEEE 802.1x. Private CAs and public CAs are used. In order to reduce the costs of a public key infrastructure (PKI) and increase user acceptance, the processes must be largely automated. The auto-enrollment from non-Microsoft CAs in a Windows domain, the distribution to mobile devices with and without MDM as well as the automatic revocation and renewal are important requirements. For user-friendly end-to-end encryption, partners' certificates must be provided automatically, both for Windows clients such as Outlook and increasingly for mobile mail apps. Ultimately, all of the organization's certificates must be efficiently managed through different roles throughout the lifecycle. For this a central certificate database is used. A web-based self-service for users and administrators serves for special types of certificates as well as individual processes.
