DRACOON - Data sovereignty in the context of digital identity
With the help of various Characteristics can be clearly assigned to real people in the virtual world using so-called digital identities. While in "real life" attributes are used to characterize people's physical characteristics such as a fingerprint, their height or personal data such as their name, birthday and address, purely electronically processable key data is used for digital identities. These digital identities are now used for many applications, e.g. for registration in online shops, on social media profiles or when retrieving e-mails. Many software solutions also use digital identities to secure sensitive information. Therefore, different authentication measures are used depending on the confidentiality level. If this data is misused, the damage is immense. For this reason, data sovereignty is playing an ever-increasing role. Marc Schieder, CIO of DRACOON, will present the close networking of these two decisive topics in his presentation and will explain the opportunities and risks involved.
