CANCELLED!! KPMG - Are your industrial plants safe?
The world of networked things is developing into a billion-dollar growth market. The (Industrial) Internet of Things (IIoT) networks everyday objects, vehicles, houses, factories and entire industrial plants. This opens up undreamt-of opportunities for consumers as well as enormous efficiency increases and cost reductions for companies.
Despite all the opportunities, increasing networking also involves risks. The virtual world is vulnerable. It holds dangers whose nature and extent are often not even known - from the theft of production or design data, through production downtimes, to total loss of control or even fatal accidents.
The growing digitalization requires company-specific, agile security strategies that adapt quickly to the danger situation. Extensive protective measures are therefore unavoidable.
Companies should not underestimate the importance of security incidents. Even short downtimes in the production environment can cause major damage - not to mention destroyed systems.
In order to effectively counteract such threats, we accompany our customers holistically from the conception to the implementation of appropriate cyber security measures. Together with leading industrial companies, we have developed an industrial cyber security methodology that helps to carry out an integrated evaluation of cyber security in networked industrial, control and automation systems. The necessary organisational, process-related and technical aspects are taken into account.
