ADVANCED THREAT PROTECTION (ATP)
Hornetsecurity Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) prevents targeted and individual attacks from invading into the company's IT infrastructure by email - right from the very first malicious mail. These can be attacks like polymorphic ransomware viruses (Locky, Tesla or Petya), targeted attacks like spear phishing, CEO fraud or whaling, phishing emails or blended threats. Besides the industry standard detection measures, sandboxing and URL rewriting, Hornetsecurity provides additional high-quality engines such as URL scanning, freezing and targeted fraud forensics. In the event of an attack, the customer receives immediate and automatic information and details via real-time notifications.
The Hornetsecurity Email Encryption encrypts outgoing emails in the Hornetsecurity gateway. Incoming encrypted emails, in return, are automatically decrypted by the gateway. All outgoing emails can also be signed automatically. Incoming and outgoing emails are thus not only protected against spying but also secure from manipulation.
Customers can specify in a policy within the Hornetsecurity Control Panel whether outgoing emails are to be encrypted or signed and how to proceed if keys are missing. The Email Encryption provides the complete certificate management for the customers. Encryption, decryption and signing are fully automated and transparent without further user intervention. Each user receives their own signature - without any effort, such as additional installations or maintenance. This ultimately leads to minimal internal costs.
