The Security Awareness Challenge
Technical measures are not enough. Start to train your employees in digital self-defense to close further critical security leaks!
The Awareness Challenge is the effective training of digital self-defense. Employees are trained to recognize different types of cyber-attacks. They are additionally trained on how to react in case of emergency to lower the losses and costs of the attacked company. This makes employees a valuable part of the company’s security concept.
What to expect after completing the Security Awareness Challenge:
· Your employees are able to recognize various attacks
· Your employees are likely to discuss the attacks with colleagues, which will further increase the awareness
· Your employees are familiar with the company’s incident response processes and
· Your employees will know what to do in case of emergency
The Awareness Challenge is designed to take place during general working hours. Cyber criminals do not tell when and how they attack, neither do we. All attacks are designed to look and feel like real attacks and can also be customized to fit the company’s attack surface.
How to score points
The employees can take part as single players or as part of a group. The player or group with the highest scores will win the Challenge and will be rewarded with a price.
But before scoring points the attendees have to
1. recognize the attacks and
2. report the attacks to the correct department.
The reporting process of the game will be the same as the company’s incident response process. So the person responsible for IT security issues will be the referee of the Challenge, whom the attendees have to contact in case of an attack.
Security Awareness Software
NSIDE will provide a software to the referee to keep track of all attacks and the scores of all players. The software will also give every player an overview over his own scores, the overall performance and a documentation of every conducted attack. Tracking their own attack detection skills and learning curve can increase the attendees’ awareness,
The awareness training should be conducted on a regular bases to keep the employees’ awareness high, to recognize different attack types and to make sure that they don’t forget.
