The network “SISEN – Secure Industrial Systems Enabling Network” will develop systems that enable secure authentication and communication already on a device level. Its aim is the development of Hardware and Software suitable for Industry 4.0 within industrial production networks (smart factory) as well as across different sites that are logically and geographically separated (e.g. for remote maintenance). The companies and research institutions involved focus especially on Secure Industrial Systems for medium-sized manufacturing companies. The network partners will work together to reduce the threats of Cyber Attacks on machinery and machine control systems, so that small and medium-sized companies can also profit from digitalisation without risk.
The network “SISEN – Secure Industrial Systems Enabling Network” is supported with 140 thousand Euro by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as part of the funding programme “Central Innovation Programme for SMEs”.
