it-sa trade fair in Nuremberg: successful start for 2010
Majority of exhibition space already allocated / trend towards larger stands /New: focus on security in the computer centre
Gau-Algesheim, 23 March 2010. Following its successful debut last year, the it-sa IT security trade fair in Nuremberg is advancing from strength to strength: a majority of the exhibition space is already booked or covered by options. The preliminary published list of exhibitors who have committed so far contains around 100 exhibitors – even though the trade fair will not be opening its doors until 19 October. To put this in perspective, last year a similar level of bookings was not achieved until May. As a result, the organisers have revised their expectations upwards and are now working on the assumption that there will be 300 exhibitors. The trend towards larger stands is also striking. Many companies which chose relatively small stands in 2009 are now planning to step up their presence at it-sa.
it-sa 2010: more direct, more concentrated, more competent
In 2010 it-sa will move to the larger Hall 12. Once again attractive, subject area related accompanying events will be held right next door to the exhibition hall in CCN West, thus permitting a unique concentration on the subject of IT security.
Again, as last year, as well as the exhibition, experts on three lecture podiums will share their specialist knowledge with visitors at a total of 180 presentations, live demos, keynote speeches and roundtable discussions. Another core element of the trade fair will be the tried-and-tested, subject-oriented route markings and guided tours that offer visitors competent information and additional orientation.
Focus on computer centres
The organisers of the 2010 trade fair are making the subject of computer centres a central theme. To this end, a special area, “The perfect computer centre – planning, construction and technology”, will be set up, at which visitors will be able to find out about every aspect of computer centre security. “To us it is particularly important that as many aspects of IT security as possible should be reflected on the exhibition space of it-sa. Only in this way can visitors gain a broad overview of the solutions currently available on the market. The subject of security in the computer centre is therefore an essential ingredient of an it-sa,” said Veronika Laufersweiler, trade fair director. The well-known computer centre planner, Gerd L. Büttner (DIM - Design Institute Munich), will be involved in the design.
it sa 2009: successful debut in Nuremberg
It-sa is the most successful trade fair dedicated to IT security in the German-speaking world. Last year was the first year that the trade fair, which has extracted itself from the former SYSTEMS, was held in Nuremberg, and right from the start it has succeeded in establishing itself as a meeting point for the entire IT security industry. 257 exhibitors were represented at the trade fair in 2009. Altogether over 6,600 trade visitors from industry, research and the public sector attended it-sa 2009. Some 20 percent of pre-registered visitors came from the Nuremberg and Munich regions, while 80 percent travelled from elsewhere in Germany or abroad.
