Marketing and PR in the run-up to the fair

Acomprehensive marketing package specifically tailored for security users will bring visitors and exhibitors together.

These services are included in the price of the all-inclusive stand for exhibitors in the it-sa:

Soliciting visitors

20,000 guest tickets will be sent to selected prestigious visitors. A flyer aimed at attracting visitors (print run: 100,000) will be distributed in advance of the fair as an insert in specialist magazines, sent to the address databases held by Messe München and SecuMedia Verlag and made available to exhibiting companies for their own promotional campaigns.

“SecurityGuide”

A brochure in the standard long DIN format will be aimed at enticing people with an interest in security to visit the fair and will lead them to the exhibitors who are relevant to their needs. It will contain information about the it-sa, the exhibiting companies and their products. The brochure will be sent selectively to the most important representatives of the target group in advance and additional copies will be available during teh fair, including on all the information stands at the fair. The fee charged to exhibitors in the it-sa includes space for an attractive company profile in the SecurityGuide.

“Who-what-where at it-sa?”

The “Who-what-where?” product finder, an edited compilation, will constitute an integral part of the SecurityGuide. Here, potential customers will be able to find the exhibitors that are relevant to them, along with hall and stand number, via a series of problem-oriented keywords (e.g. e-mail security, PKI, virus protection and many more). This comprehensive directory has over the last few years developed into a popular reference work that is retained even after the fair is over. It will be available to visitors and the press in printed form at the fair. It will also be published on the Internet, constantly updated and with links to exhibitors’ websites. Inclusion in the guide under five keywords, together with the direct links, is covered in the fee charged to exhibitors in the it-sa.

Special pages in <kes>

The magazine which, amongst other things, is the organ used by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), will publish a detailed special section in its edition prior the exhibition. The SecurityGuide insert will be included as part of this special report. Again, this is covered in the fee paid by exhibitors in the it-sa.

The it-sa website

All exhibiting companies will be included well in advance in the list of exhibitors displayed at www.it-sa.com. Inclusion in this list, together with direct links to the URLs of exhibiting companies, is included in the fee charged to it-sa exhibitors.

Press and public relations work

Press information announcing the it-sa and the forums will be sent out in advance to 1,000 editorial offices in Europe via our own and the NürnbergMesse distribution list. The organiser will compile a special press folder in collaboration with the exhibitors. This will be on display in the it-sa press office. All the PR services mentioned above are included in the fee charged to it-sa exhibitors.

After-effects

The presentations given in the it-sa will generate a lot of direct contacts as an after-effect. Video recordings of presentations and the electronic handouts supplied by speakers will be available for visitors to download even after the end of the fair. Within one year these Internet facilities are used on over 98,000 occasions. Once again these services are included in the price charged to it-sa exhibitors, along with the possibility of giving a presentation.
